"As a nursing student and certified yoga instructor, I've always felt that I had a pretty good understanding of the human body.  Then I took Rie's classes in the Franklin method.  I was shocked at how much my instructors didn't teach me (and I suspect don't know) about the human skeleton and how it works.  She's a genuine font of knowledge and has an elegant way presenting the information to her students. "

Wayne Melnick (October 2009)

“The Franklin Method is a perfect compliment to the practice of massage therapists and bodyworkers.  In her workshops, Rie brings anatomy to life.  By experiencing how bones, organs, and muscles move in conjunction with each other, one's understanding of body movement grows tremendously.  The imagery cues made the classes fun and helped us explore the mind/body connection as it relates to movement and tension in the body.  I found the workshops extremely helpful to my practice as a massage therapist but also as a valuable tool for my self care.  The Franklin Method should be a part of every massage school curriculum!”

"In May 2010, Rie Franklin did a movement lesson with my first grade class. She did a nice job of integrating movement with science. The lesson was about how plants use energy from the sun to make food in the leaves. She challenged the students to move like rain and wind and the sun as she wove movement and science together - the cycle of plants making food. The lesson was creative and thoroughly involved each student. The children had fun and got to experience leaves making food for the plant."
