"As a nursing student and certified yoga instructor, I've always felt that I had a pretty good understanding of the human body.  Then I took Rie's classes in the Franklin method.  I was shocked at how much my instructors didn't teach me (and I suspect don't know) about the human skeleton and how it works.  She's a genuine font of knowledge and has an elegant way presenting the information to her students."
Wayne Melnick (October 2009)

"Rie knows her subject inside and out and has a deep love for what she does. She is wonderful at inspiring young students to think and dance differently. She taught intensive workshops on our college students, and then developed the principles learned into a choreographed work. The college students learned new principles of movement, while enjoying themselves immensely. They also performed in a great work of dance."

Terry Crews, Assistant Professor of Dance College of Lake County, Illinois (2009)

“The Franklin Method is a perfect compliment to the practice of massage therapists and bodyworkers.  In her workshops, Rie brings anatomy to life.  By experiencing how bones, organs, and muscles move in conjunction with each other, one's understanding of body movement grows tremendously.  The imagery cues made the classes fun and helped us explore the mind/body connection as it relates to movement and tension in the body.  I found the workshops extremely helpful to my practice as a massage therapist but also as a valuable tool for my self care.  The Franklin Method should be a part of every massage school curriculum!”

 Kathy Snodgrass, LMT   (September 2011)

"I really enjoyed the class! I think the information you have to offer is so important. I am constantly astonished at the lack of knowledge most people have about their bodies and how to live in them. It is such an important part of the healing process for people living in constant pain. The massage we can provide will only be temporary if they go right back to poor movement patterns."

Helen Marie Carruthers, LMT  ( February 2012)

“Rie effortlessly makes anatomy, a normally dry subject, interesting and vital. She creates a 3 dimensional visualization of what is happening inside the body that you feel for yourself in your own body. Organ Mediations is a stunning series of presentations that allow a person to visualize what is happening in their body. The result is an effortless ability to correct bad posture, alignment and breathing. Life becomes more easeful and enjoyable. You will feel better, more mindful and conscious in your practice after taking her course. Hats off to Rie!”

  Wyatt Portz – RYT200 (Organ Meditations 2012-2013)

“Organ Mediations was fascinating, very informative and healing – as well as relaxing for my body. Learning about the movement of the lungs has had a great impact on my wellbeing and I often practice the image of lungs spiraling and deep breathing. Rie is an extremely knowledgeable teacher, well trained and well prepared. She is thoughtful in her response and a great listener.”

Helen Campbell – Yoga Studio Owner
(Organ Meditations 2012-2013)

"In May 2010, Rie Franklin did a movement lesson with my first grade class. She did a nice job of integrating movement with science. The lesson was about how plants use energy from the sun to make food in the leaves. She challenged the students to move like rain and wind and the sun as she wove movement and science together - the cycle of plants making food. The lesson was creative and thoroughly involved each student. The children had fun and got to experience leaves making food for the plant."
